This way the whole backward Taluka will become developed and vibrant.
The whole of Kaprada Taluka of Valsad District of Gujarat State is the most backward area with tribal inhabitants in the whole of India. The region is hilly with scares crop and vegetables. Villages of this taluka can be made sustainable in a rural development approach. Following villages are included in the Project:
All the cattle of the village are brought into the Cattle Hostel under one roof. They are given Green Fodder grown from the Fodder Production Unit. Savings on bulk purchase of cattle feed, veterinary services, water and health of the cattle could be achieved.
The dung of the cattle collected is utilized for generating organic fuel through a bio-gas plant. Piping network is provided for distribution of this fuel gas with pressure pump. Thus the whole village gets cooking fuel for preparation of food.
This fuel can also be utilized for running a generator which would generate enough electricity for the village.
The extra dung is separated out of which dung-slurry is made after processing. This pure organic slurry is very useful as organic manure. This has a high commercial value and could be sold throughout the nation at a good price.
The urine of the cows could be collected, processed and sold as it is considered sacred for the Hindus, the major religion of India.
The dung which is left out after making slurry is dumped on the field in a row covered with a jute bag and kept to decompose for around 45 days and after screening vermin compost and earthworms are cultured. Vermi compost is used for growing crop and vegetables etc. in the Green House for better humus. Earthworms are also sold which fetches a good commercial value.
Milk and vegetables from different such hostels are collected and sold at one central point to get better price.
Thus through cattle and its dung, the whole village becomes sustainable and vibrant.
We have installed and commissioned a 1000 kg capacity Hydroponic Green Fodder Production Unit at Rola, Valsad District, Gujarat.
This is a unique machine used for growing fodder/green feed in soil-free yet nutritional environment which is free from insects, bacteria, fungal growth. Such an environment consequently results in high quality protein and fibre rich fooder. Hence, the genetic potential of milch animals can be exploited to the fullest with fooder/green feed.
This machine works all 365 days, water consumption is only 2-3 litres/kg, land requirement is onluy 260 sq.ft. for 365 tons/yearly production, time requird from sed to harvest is only seven days, no soil is used, one labout is enough to handoled 1000 kg/daily mchine with around 2-4 hours/day. Protected treatment for high prevention of fungi, bactria and insectrs growth – so lo crop osss, no fungicides, no insecticides, no pesticides required. It is 100% natural and highly nutritious live fodder, 50% reduction in consumption of concentrate feed, increase in milk production and body weight.
